Resistance Bands - Do They Really Work?

 

Resistance Bands for Toning Your Body:

If you are interested in "low impact" training then resistance bands are right up your ally.

NOTE: You should always consult a physician before beginning any kind of exercise or rehabilitation program.

You can use these resistance bands with or without a door as indicated in the many online videos online. You can take them to the park and wrap them around a tree or simply step on them to apply tension.

Here are some simple exercises you can do to tone your body with resistance bands.

Usually, using these bands for toning, you will want to start with the lighter weighted resistance and slowly move throughout the motion to maintain even resistance. As you perform multiple repetitions, you will start to notice that you are actually getting stronger.

We recommend you try 3 or 4 of the exercises per day and start off slow, perhaps 10 or 15 minutes per day. To use resistance bands for toning, you will want to maintain lower repetitions and more sets. Meaning, try to do at least 30 or 40 repetitions per set and try 3 or 4 sets per day.  To break up the monotony, you could do other exercises in between.

Example: Do 3 sets of one exercise above. We recommend resting 30 seconds between sets. Then do some sit ups. Then back to the resistance bands.

If you do this for a few weeks and maintain a clean, healthy diet, you will notice that you are becoming more toned and may actually lose some weight!

You can use resistance bands to build muscle along with a sensible, high protein diet. You simply start with lower resistance and add more bands to increase weight and resistance. You can add 2, 3 or more to really get a workout OR you can order another resistance band set here :) if you are super strong and need more weight!
